A good gossiper is someone to whom people trust information and someone who uses that information in a responsible manner. When you discover that the person your friend is in love with has a bad reputation for being unfaithful, you tell your friend, not to hurt him, but as a warning. You discover that someone from your company doesn't work as a team and you tell other co-workers so they can try to avoid working with that colleague.
